We’re not talking about Seeman’s blood relatives but the cast of ‘Mayandi Kudumbathar’, of which he is also an important part of the film, directed by Rasu Madhuravan, has 10 directors donning the greasepaint, including Seeman, Jaganji, Manivannan, Nanda Periyasamy, Raj Kapoor, GM Kumar, Singam Puli, Ravi Maria, apart from the hero, Tarun Gopi.

Now that the film has been completed, and the songs have been released, director Rasu Madhuravan speaks about how his insistence on casting Seeman caused delays in the movie’s schedule. “We originally had planned another date for the film’s muhurat, but postponed it as he had been arrested. Even for the shooting, most of which was done in Vathalagundu, the actor’s arrests proved a hampering factor and had to be postponed. In fact, he was arrested on the first planned of our original shooting schedule. And when the film was ready for dubbing, he, again, was arrested. Many suggested that we replace him, but I was insistent as his character is very powerful,” says the director, who has earlier done Larencce’s 'Pandi'.

The film has music by Sabesh Murali and is produced by United Arts.
